I have no idea what happened to August.
Actually, I do. August for our family included our annual Summer Slam party, a business trip for me to New York, a visit from my Amma, a visit from my brother in laws Scott and Daren and their awesome kiddos, zip lining, paddle boating and alpine sliding at Heritage Square, a visit from my dad (who’s moving to Colorado…yippee!!), Broncos Bunch movie night, a Colorado Rapids game with about 17 of my favorite people, the first day of school for all four kids, planning our elementary school’s Back to School Bash and (possibly my favorite) heading up to the mountains for opening weekend of archery elk hunting.
That’s a ton of fun, crazy, random stuff in a month…even for me!
That’s also about 10 different blog posts. You know, those things I always think about writing but never do? Honestly, it’s so nice of you to still stop by this little site considering how little I’ve posted the last few months. 🙂
I have two choices when faced with this much activity:
1. Freak out.
2. Take a deep breath, do one thing at a time, and count it ALL joy.
Of course I picked #2….did you even have to ask? 🙂
I’ll be back soon with some great stories, lessons and nonsense I picked up over the last few months. In the meantime, here is one of my favorite photos of the summer – my dad with all his grandkids.
